Psychological Health & Safety in the Workplace
About this event
The recent firing of ex James Hardie CEO, Jack Truong, is just one recent example of a high-flyer taking a crash landing due to their own disrespectful behaviour in the workplace.
Whereas sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying have been against the law for decades, in recent years, victim-survivors have been calling out these behaviours and corporate Australia is starting to take notice.
Organisations are now also expected to be proactive in managing these risks - it is no longer enough to just deal with the complaints if and when they arise.
Failure to understand and mitigate the risks posed by harassment, discrimination and bullying can leave your business exposed.
The flow on effects can include: increased WorkCover claims, higher insurance premiums, increased absenteeism, decreased productivity, high staff turnover, reputational damage, shareholder action and adverse legal judgements.
Join our expert panel speakers who present and discuss current issues surrounding:
The legal definitions of sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying
Recent legal changes in these areas
How to deal with these issues through a safety risk management framework
Case study from i2c Architects of how they manage these issues and employment lifespan approach including day-to-day initiatives and case management experiences
Establishing clear policies against workplace bullying and raising awareness at all levels.
Role of leadership in setting standards and creating an inclusive workplace culture
CPD - Participation in this webinar will deliver 1.5 formal CPD points.
Written CPD questions will be provided with your purchase. Send your responses to CPD questions to mark@meccaevents.com.au for the issue of a certificate of completion. Keep your receipt, completed questions and certificate for your CPD records.
